The Flößerpfad (raftsmen trail)

The raftsmen trail reminds one of the Black Forest water trails. Timber rafting was one of the economic bases along the Kinzig river.

The stretch between Lossburg and Alpirsbach is 12 km long and starts at the gazebo of the Lossburg Zauberland: You'll start at about 650 m and walk down the valley following the Kinzig river until you'll reach the spa garden Alpirsbach at about 450 m ASL.

Note: It'll take you at least 3 hours to enjoy forest and water and - if you like to - to stopover in the restaurants and inns or even at the  barbecue facilities  along the trail.

Raftsmen trail tours guided by Peter Günther can be booked at the Tourist information office. Tel. +49 (0) 7444/9516-281 or tourist-info@alpirsbach.de

In case of interest and upon request, hikers can visit the honeybee hive box of Hansjörg Frick at the Obere Mühle (upper mill). Visitors may watch the apiculturist when he extracts the honey (depending upon season and floral origin).
Also for groups - booking required (Phone: +49 (0) 7444 / 1219)
